Hiya people, My names Dave and i'm from Wrexham, just bought a Beetle for the Mrs(anything to keep her quiet). I've bought a 2000 2.0 with 98'000miles on the clock but with full service history. Must say it goes pretty well, i wasn't expecting the pull i got!!
Had a good look round and after seing a few dogs travelling up to Liverpool, Stoke, Birmingham we finally settled on the dark blue beast we've now called Bertie which in the end was right on our door step

generally the inside and outside is fantastic for a 10 year old car with just a few light blemishes that'll buff out(when the weather gets a bit better) and a bit of a scuff on the o/s rear panel which i may have blown in at some point.
I have a few small jobs i want to do as i have to drive it at times and think the addition of a spoiler and some new alloys will set it off nicely!
I've done some modding in the past most on jap cars inclduing Imprezas, Fto's etc, My last fto looked a little bit like this-
but i'm over all that now and my youth is vanashing and i now have 2 kids a wife a dog and lots of fish so the jap cars are out and the beetle is in. I myself have a Taxi as i'm a taxi driver but weekends and such i'll be in the beetle trawling up and down the Welsh coutryside. Look forward to hearing from you and getting some hints and tips on how to keep Bertie looking and driving his best

welcome!!! Your bug looks great and I'm sure your wife will love it, I'm sure she will girly it up with a big flower and some bling, us girls love the bling!!! 
, and as for the flower, there's already a big yellow sunflower on board and she wants some yellow mats, the spoiler, alloys and some dice. All fine with me...EXCEPT THE DICE
